Konya Metropolitan Municipality sends second group for Vefa Umresi

The Konya Metropolitan Municipality has dispatched the second group of citizens to the holy lands as part of its ‘Vefa Umresi’ project. This initiative is specifically designed for veterans and citizens aged 60 to 75 who have never had the opportunity to perform the Umrah pilgrimage.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that the project aims to fulfill the long-held spiritual desires of these citizens. He noted that the first group had already completed their journey successfully. The project is planned to send groups of 150 people per month across a total of nine groups.
