Konya Metropolitan Municipality sends third group for Vefa Umre Project

The Konya Metropolitan Municipality has dispatched its third group of participants for the ‘Vefa Umre Project’. This initiative is specifically designed for elderly citizens between the ages of 60 and 75, as well as veterans, who have not previously had the opportunity to perform the Umrah pilgrimage.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay expressed his happiness in facilitating the long-held dreams of these citizens. He noted that the first and second groups had already completed their journeys successfully. The project aims to send groups of 160 people to the holy lands every month, with a total of nine groups planned for the initiative.

Applications for the project remain open through the municipality's official web portal.
