Konya Metropolitan Municipality welcomes first Vefa Umresi group

The first group of participants from the ‘Vefa Umresi’ project has returned to Konya from the holy lands. The project, organized by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, is designed to facilitate Umrah pilgrimages for elderly citizens who have not had the opportunity to go previously, as well as for war veterans.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay met the returning group at Konya Airport. He stated that the project aims to fulfill a significant dream for many citizens and announced plans to continue the program by sending groups of approximately 150 people every month.
