Konya, Turkey hosts charity circumcision ceremony for 30 children
Under the charitable tradition of Sultan II Bayezid, the Konya Vakıflar Bölge Müdürlüğü organized a circumcision ceremony for thirty under‑privileged boys in Konya. The event took place at the Meram Öğretmenevi and included a visit to the Mevlana Museum, a convoy of locally made TOGG cars, classic automobiles and motorcycles, and various activities such as clowns and workshops.
Doctors performed the circumcisions, after which the children and families received gifts, including gram‑sized gold bars and new bicycles. Local officials, including Konya Governor Ibrahim Akın and regional director Yılmaz Kılınç, presented the gifts. Several children expressed excitement about riding their bicycles during the upcoming summer holidays.
