Koo Kyo Hwan to star in upcoming film Reawaken Man: The Red

Actor Koo Kyo Hwan is set to star in the upcoming film ‘Reawaken Man: The Red’, scheduled for theatrical release on September 30. Based on a popular webtoon, the story follows Seok Hwan, an unemployed job seeker who discovers he possesses the ability to resurrect 72 hours after death, growing stronger with each revival.

A recently released teaser and promotional stills highlight the film’s blend of action, absurdity, and humor. The plot centers on Seok Hwan becoming the target of a mysterious pursuit after his extraordinary powers are revealed. The ensemble cast includes Shin Seung Ho, Kang Ki Young, Kim Si Ah, and Kim Sung Ryung.

Director Baek Jong Yeol noted the seamless synchronization between the actor and his character. To prepare for the physically demanding role, Koo Kyo Hwan focused on building stamina for the film's intense action sequences.
