Kołobrzeg becomes Poland's top holiday destination

Recent data indicates a shift in Poland's tourism landscape, with Kołobrzeg overtaking Międzyzdroje as the most frequently booked destination. According to Triverna.pl, while the average length of stay has decreased to 3.8 nights, the total value of sales rose by nearly 25% year-over-year. This trend is driven by a preference for higher standards, with over half of all bookings made at 4- and 5-star hotels or luxury resorts. Average nightly prices increased by 6.3%.

On a regional level, Eurostat data highlights the West Pomeranian Voivodeship (Zachodniopomorskie) as a major tourism hub. The region recorded 16.5 million overnight stays in 2024, a figure more than ten times its permanent population of approximately 1.6 million. West Pomerania holds 18.3% of Poland's total accommodation capacity and maintains a higher occupancy rate of 47.1% compared to the national average of 40.1%.
