Kootenay Big Rig Show returns to Castlegar in September

The sixth annual Kootenay Big Rig Show is scheduled to take place in Castlegar on September 5-6. Hosted by Bill’s Heavy Duty and a volunteer committee, the event brings together working trucks, custom rigs, and vintage classics from across Western Canada.

The festivities begin on Saturday, September 5, with a Big Rig Cruise through downtown Castlegar at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, September 6, the Big Rig Show & Shine will be held at Bill’s Heavy Duty from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring truck demonstrations, silent auctions, and various activities.

Beyond the exhibition, the event serves as a fundraiser for the Bill Arishenkoff Trades Scholarship, which supports local students pursuing careers in the skilled trades.
