Kopernikusschule holds annual Respect Challenge in Freigericht

The Kopernikusschule in Freigericht recently conducted its annual Respect Challenge, a week-long initiative focused on fostering positive social interactions among students. Under the theme ‘I treat my fellow human beings with respect,’ the school community engaged in daily tasks designed to promote mindfulness, kindness, and mutual appreciation.

Students were encouraged to perform small but impactful gestures, such as greeting one another, holding doors, offering compliments, or asking interested questions. These activities align with the school’s ‘5 Golden Rules’ and its broader commitment to a school culture rooted in respect, tolerance, and social responsibility.

The event concluded with the creation of a ‘Hall of Good Deeds’ in the school entrance. This display allowed students to record and share respectful or helpful moments they experienced during the week, making visible the small, everyday actions that contribute to a positive community environment.
