Kopřivnice candidates focus on local issues ahead of 2026 elections

Political parties and movements are preparing for the municipal elections scheduled for October 9–10, 2026, in Kopřivnice. Candidates across various political spectrums have identified shared priorities for the town, including the reconstruction of the old school into a library, the development of a new summer swimming pool, parking issues, and housing solutions for seniors and young families.

Twelve entities are competing for seats in Kopřivnice, including ANO, Krásná Kopřivnice, and the Pirates. The DSZ - ZA PRÁVA ZVÍŘAT party is also participating in the broader regional elections, having submitted 50 candidate lists across 34 cities, 4 market towns, and 12 municipalities in the Czech Republic. Their platform focuses on animal welfare, including support for shelters, neutering programs, and bans on certain types of entertainment involving animals.
