Koppl, Austria Begins €8 Million Kindergarten Construction
Construction is set to start next week on a new kindergarten in Koppl, Austria, a project costing eight million euros. Mayor Rupert Reischl highlighted the hybrid building method with a significant wood component and the aim to achieve a Climate‑Active Building silver standard. The facility will accommodate eight groups, uniting toddlers and first‑graders under one roof.
The municipality expects the kindergarten to be ready for use in spring 2028, after which the current temporary arrangements in schools will be phased out. Reischl noted that the funding is on track and the project will address the post‑COVID baby boom demand for early‑childhood spaces.
