Koprivnica-Križevci County officials inspect new tourism project sites

Koprivnica-Križevci County Prefect Tomislav Golubić visited several locations in the Glogovac settlement to inspect sites for a proposed tourism project. The initiative, led by Koprivnički Bregi Municipality Chief Kristina Škoda Vajdić, aims to transform areas near a former coal mine into a tourist destination.

The project, titled ‘Paths of the Podravina Miners’, involves creating a walking trail that connects a drinking water source, a mining shaft, and a public road. The trail is intended to feature educational boards, information kiosks, and rest areas to promote environmental awareness and biodiversity in the Bilogora region.

Additionally, the municipality plans to build and equip a ‘Miners’ Home’, which would serve as a multifunctional cultural and sports center and a starting point for exploring Bilogora. The development is part of a broader effort to promote sustainable tourism and utilize the county's forest areas for recreational and health-oriented purposes.
