Koprivnica Renaissance Festival sees record attendance
The Renaissance Festival held at the city walls of Koprivnica saw record-breaking attendance this year. According to Mayor Mišel Jakšić, the event drew an estimated 50,000 visitors, including many international tourists evidenced by numerous foreign-registered vehicles in the area.
While the festival was hailed as a major success for regional tourism and featured popular musical acts like Sergej Ćetković and Prljavo Kazalište, some visitors reported logistical issues. One attendee raised concerns regarding entry policies, claiming that staff refused to allow re-entry to the festival grounds despite previous assurances that a receipt and ticket would suffice for returning after a brief exit.
The dispute, which involved several visitors including an elderly couple from Germany, has sparked local debate regarding the use of wristbands to facilitate continuous entry and exit for day-pass holders.
