Koprivnica‑Križevci County adopts 2026 budget with extra health funding
On Thursday the 7th session of the Koprivnica‑Križevci County Assembly was held in the city council building in Koprivnica. The meeting was chaired by Assembly President Ivan Pal and attended by County Head Tomislav Golubić, Deputy County Head Mario Rajn and heads of county administrative bodies. The budget rebalancing secures nearly €1 million for the health system, introducing a package of incentives to attract and retain doctors and other medical staff, including welcome and loyalty bonuses, housing subsidies, utility and loan‑interest support. Additional allocations include €660 000 for primary‑school student transport, €95 000 for primary‑school operations and over €85 000 for secondary‑school activities, €20 000 for the local blind association, €60 000 for tourism promotion, and €40 000 for small‑scale agricultural support such as the purchase of breeding cattle. The assembly also adopted decisions on short‑term borrowing and the execution of the 2026 budget.
