Korea Exchange Chairman visits U.S. for investor roadshow and NYSE partnership

Jung Eun-bo, Chairman of the Korea Exchange (KRX), has traveled to the United States to promote the South Korean capital market to global investors. His itinerary includes meetings with technology companies in Silicon Valley to discuss AI trends and capital raising experiences.

A key component of the visit is the ‘Korea Exchange Global Roadshow in New York,’ organized alongside Bank of America Securities. The event aims to host approximately 20 major institutional investors, including global asset managers and hedge funds, to present recent South Korean regulatory reforms and efforts to improve foreign investor accessibility.

Additionally, the KRX will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to strengthen cooperation in market operations and infrastructure. The two exchanges intend to share expertise on innovations such as extended trading hours and the transition to a T+1 settlement cycle. They may also establish a joint consultative body to maintain ongoing discussions.
