Korea Financial Investment Association concludes K-Capital Market Forum sessions

The Korea Financial Investment Association (KOFIA) has concluded four regular sessions of its ‘K-Capital Market Forum’ held between May and August. Chaired by KOFIA Chairman Hwang Seong-yeop, the forum aims to establish a mid-to-long-term roadmap and a ten-year blueprint for the sustainable growth of South Korea’s capital markets.

The forum's discussions focused on four primary pillars: expanding national asset formation through Individual Savings Accounts (ISA), supporting life-cycle asset management and intergenerational wealth transfer via trusts, securing retirement income in an aging society through pension system improvements, and restoring market trust by enhancing shareholder rights and corporate value.

Supported by the Korea Capital Market Institute, the forum will continue to address topics such as digital finance, productive finance, and global competitiveness. KOFIA plans to compile the findings into a policy report to be submitted to the government and the National Assembly in the first half of next year.
