Korea Health Promotion Association hosts Uzbek medical officials

The Korea Health Promotion Association (KH) hosted a field study program for officials from Uzbekistan’s State Committee for Sanitation and Epidemiology (SEWPHC) and the national information system integrator UZINFOCOM. Supported by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and implemented by Mega IT, the program aimed to strengthen Uzbekistan’s national integrated Laboratory Information System (LIS).

During the visit, the delegation toured the KH Incheon branch to observe smart health screening systems utilizing RFID technology and digital medical information management. The officials also visited the Parasite Museum to study Korea’s history of infectious disease control and the KH Central Laboratory to examine professional diagnostic testing operations.

The program facilitated the exchange of expertise regarding health screening, medical informatics, diagnostic testing, and infectious disease management to support the expansion of Uzbekistan’s integrated laboratory systems.
