Korea Investment Accelerator hosts physical AI hackathon in Seoul

Korea Investment Accelerator hosted the ‘Seoul Vibe Hackathon: Toython’ at the Seoul AI Hub, a physical AI event designed to enhance the value of its portfolio companies. The hackathon brought together approximately 100 participants forming 44 teams to create functional prototypes that combine generative AI with physical hardware.

Participants utilized development boards from Nucode, a portfolio company specializing in low-power communication and edge AI platforms. Using ‘vibe coding’ techniques, developers integrated sensors, LEDs, and displays with AI to build prototypes in various sectors, including wellness, industrial safety, and gaming. OpenAI supported the event by providing ChatGPT Pro licenses and API credits.

The top prize was awarded to team ‘Save the Earth’ for developing a generative AI-based physical gaming platform. Other notable winners included ‘Anti-Turtle’ for a sensor-based posture correction solution and ‘DEVICENET’ for a smart industrial safety helmet. The event aimed to bridge the gap between hardware technology and real-world user application by connecting developers directly with Nucode’s hardware capabilities.
