Korea Investment Management CEO promotes long-term strategic industry investment

Bae Jae-gyu, CEO of Korea Investment Management, emphasized the importance of long-term investment in strategic industries during a seminar for the launch of the 'ACE Semiconductor Plus Strategic Industry ETF.' Bae advised against short-term trading and leverage, stating that wealth is accumulated by investing in sectors that change the world through new technologies rather than seeking luck for quick profits.

Experts at the seminar identified key sectors driving structural growth in the South Korean market, including semiconductors, shipbuilding, defense, and nuclear power. Semiconductors are highlighted as essential infrastructure for the AI era, while shipbuilding is entering a super cycle and the defense sector benefits from global increases in military spending. Nuclear power is noted for its potential to address AI data center power shortages.

The new ACE ETF is designed to provide diversified exposure to five major industries with global competitiveness: semiconductors, shipbuilding, defense, nuclear power, and automobiles (specifically humanoid-related technologies).
