Korea Investment & Securities partners with Vessl AI for GPU financing

Korea Investment & Securities has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Vessl AI to pursue ‘GPU Financing’ aimed at expanding artificial intelligence infrastructure. Under this agreement, Korea Investment & Securities will utilize its structured finance capabilities to assist in capital procurement for GPU infrastructure, while Vessl AI will leverage its experience in operating GPU cloud platforms to support business execution.

Building large-scale AI infrastructure, including equipment procurement and data center construction, requires significant initial capital. Vessl AI has announced a strategic goal to secure 200,000 GPUs by 2030 and establish AI data center hubs in eight locations across South Korea. The company aims to acquire 10,000 GPUs this year and 50,000 by 2027, with plans to pursue approximately 400 billion won in GPU-related financing to support this expansion. Vessl AI is also expanding its business through collaborations with SK Telecom and a contract to supply 128 Nvidia B200 units to SK Biopharm.
