Korea Investment & Securities targets corporate retirement pension market

Korea Investment & Securities is expanding its presence in the corporate retirement pension market by providing specialized consulting services to human resources and finance professionals. To support this, the firm hosted a ‘Retirement Pension Academy’ in Yeouido, Seoul, to address upcoming regulatory changes, such as the potential introduction of fund-based retirement pensions and mandatory external accumulation of retirement benefits.

As the domestic retirement pension market exceeds 500 trillion won, competition among securities firms is shifting from simple product sales to comprehensive asset management and institutional consulting. Korea Investment & Securities aims to leverage its expertise in asset allocation and risk management to assist companies in navigating labor policy changes, including discussions on retirement age extensions and wage peak systems.
