Korea Marine Environment Management Corp holds youth intern exchange

The Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation (KOEM) hosted a youth intern exchange event on August 28 at its headquarters in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The initiative was organized in collaboration with the Local Community ESG Council to provide young interns with diverse professional experiences and strengthen their employment capabilities.

A total of 16 interns from four different public institutions participated, including KOEM, the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (Seoul branch), the National Health Insurance Service (Songpa branch), and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation.

The program featured various activities such as institutional and job introductions, an ESG practice idea development session, professional mentoring, and ESG site visits. During the mentoring sessions, employees from each organization shared practical advice regarding job duties, employment preparation, and organizational culture.

KOEM Chairman Kang Yong-seok noted that the exchange event serves as a valuable opportunity for youth to experience the practical operations of public institutions. The corporation plans to continue expanding work experience opportunities for young people through various programs, including university internship programs and global pre-internships.
