Korea Maritime Institute and KOSTI partner on maritime and trade security
The Korea Maritime Institute (KMI) and the Korea Strategic Trade Institute (KOSTI) have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen research cooperation in maritime and trade security. The agreement aims to address risks in maritime transport routes and global supply chains caused by increasing economic sanctions and export controls from major nations.
Through this partnership, the two organizations will conduct joint research on key issues, host academic seminars, and facilitate expert exchanges. The collaboration focuses on integrating KMI’s expertise in maritime security, shipping, and logistics with KOSTI’s specialized knowledge in trade security to develop comprehensive policy responses to evolving economic security challenges.
