Korea Ocean Business Corporation installs 18m media wall at National Maritime Museum

The Korea Ocean Business Corporation (KOBC) has funded the creation of an 18-meter large-scale media wall and immersive exhibition spaces at the National Maritime Museum in Busan. With a total investment of 300 million won, the project aims to showcase the history and future of maritime routes, including the development of canals and the Arctic Sea route.

Located on the first floor of the museum, the high-resolution LED screen measures 18 meters wide and 4 meters high. The installation features interactive elements where sensors detect visitor movements, allowing digital Arctic animals like polar bears and arctic foxes to react to passersby.

Additionally, a themed exhibition titled ‘Blue Heart, Mangrove’ has been opened in the third-floor media exhibition room to highlight the importance of marine ecosystem protection. This initiative marks the second collaborative project between KOBC and the museum following their 2023 media art exhibition.
