Korea Technology Guarantee Fund hosts Silicon Valley roundtable to boost K‑venture expansion into North America

The Korea Technology Guarantee Fund (Kibo) organized a Global K‑Venture Innovation Roundtable at the Silicon Valley Startup Venture Campus in California on 24 March. Attendees included Deputy Minister No Yong‑seok of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Kibo executive director Park Ju‑sun, representatives from Stanford University’s accelerator, the United Korean‑American Entrepreneurs Federation and seven Korean startups operating in AI, biotech, digital health, K‑beauty and K‑food. The meeting focused on strategies for Korean ventures to enter the North‑American market, emphasizing direct local networking, technology‑finance linkages and investment partnerships. Officials pledged to reinforce comprehensive support, shifting from generic overseas programs to field‑oriented collaboration that can accelerate scaling and attract follow‑on capital for Korean innovators.
