Korea Tourism Organization launches K-pop themed travel lounge

The Korea Tourism Organization has launched the ‘K-TRIP LOUNGE’, an interactive exhibition at the HiKR Ground tourism promotion center in Seoul. Running until September 6, the pop-up uses an airport theme to introduce various South Korean destinations through the voices of Hallyu stars.

Visitors can use headphones to listen to audio guides provided by K-pop groups such as N. Flying, P1Harmony, and AMPERS&ONE, as well as rapper pH-1 and actors including Lee Min-ki and Lee Joo-seung. These artists share personal stories and recommendations for locations like the Anbandegi plains in Gangneung, E-World in Daegu, and Jeonju Hanok Village.

The exhibition is a collaboration with Pavement, a startup that operates ‘CeleTrip’, an AI-based voice docent platform. The initiative aims to connect K-content with domestic travel by allowing visitors to transition from the offline exhibition to online travel planning via the CeleTrip platform.
