Korea University Anam Hospital launches Asia-Pacific first Medibus
Korea University Anam Hospital has launched ‘Medibus’, the first of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region. This initiative integrates smart video telemedicine technology into the hospital’s existing mobile medical bus, known as the ‘KUM-C Bus’, to enhance medical services in underserved areas.
By utilizing Cisco Korea’s network infrastructure and Webex collaboration tools, the Medibus allows on-site medical staff to connect in real-time with specialists at Anam Hospital. This system enables the sharing of medical data, such as X-ray images, and provides expert consultation to overcome the physical limitations of mobile clinics, ensuring more precise diagnoses for patients in remote locations.
