Korea University of Technology and Education receives 323 startup applications

The Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH) Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation has received 323 startup ideas through the second phase of the ‘Everyone’s Startup’ program. Serving as a mentor institution for the Chungnam region, the university is participating in this large-scale initiative organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development.

The submitted ideas span various high-growth sectors, including IT, lifestyle, energy, mobility, and education. KOREATECH has assembled a professional mentoring group of approximately 30 experts, including entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, patent attorneys, and engineering specialists.

Selected teams will receive comprehensive support, including business model diagnosis, one-on-one mentoring, and commercialization consulting. The program aims to leverage the university’s practical engineering infrastructure to provide one-stop services such as prototype production, performance testing, and international certification support. Furthermore, the initiative will link with the Regional Innovation System & Education (RISE) project to offer preferential residency in business incubation centers and investment opportunities through technology holding companies.
