Korea Zinc wins Gold at 2026 Galaxy Awards for sustainability report

Korea Zinc has been awarded the Gold Award in the Online Annual Reports (Sustainability Report-Korea) category at the 2026 Galaxy Awards. The international communication and marketing competition is organized by the U.S.-based agency MerComm.

The company’s 2025 sustainability report focuses on its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance and its strategic vision to transition into an eco-friendly energy and materials company. The report highlights five key materiality issues: occupational health and safety management, climate change response, ethics and compliance, pollution and hazardous substance management, and resource circulation and waste management.

Judges praised the report for its professional design, clear charts, and effective use of illustrations that enhance information accessibility. The report balances qualitative messages with quantitative indicators, placing detailed data in an appendix to maintain readability. Korea Zinc currently maintains a Grade 1 ESG score from ISS and an A rating from MSCI.
