Korean Air and Asiana Airlines conduct joint social activities ahead of merger

Korean Air and Asiana Airlines have conducted joint social contribution activities aimed at supporting the future generation ahead of their scheduled merger in December.

On May 29, volunteer groups from both airlines held career lectures for approximately 50 elementary and middle school students at the Yangcheon Library in Seoul. The sessions featured a Korean Air maintenance engineer and an Asiana Airlines cabin crew member, who shared professional insights to assist students with career planning.

Additionally, on May 28, volunteer members from the flight operations divisions of both companies supported safety experience activities for local children at the Magok Safety Experience Center in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. The program included training on bicycle and kickboard safety, public transportation rules, emergency escapes, and disaster response protocols for earthquakes, typhoons, and fires.

These collaborative efforts are intended to strengthen communication and harmony between the two companies as they prepare for the official launch of the integrated Korean Air following the absorption of Asiana Airlines.
