Korean construction firms Daebang Construction and KCC Glass post profit gains

Daebang Construction reported a sharp improvement in profitability and cash flow for the year. The operating profit margin rose above 15%, operating cash flow turned positive at 34.7 billion won, and the debt‑to‑equity ratio fell below 100% with a liquidity ratio of 338%. Revenue reached 1.177 trillion won, up 17% year‑on‑year, while operating profit climbed 62.9% to 180.1 billion won and net profit surged 126.9% to 149.8 billion won. The company also secured new public‑sector contracts, including a 682 billion won project from Korea Land & Housing Corporation and a 1.115 trillion won urban‑renewal contract in Bucheon.

KCC Glass announced a turnaround in the second quarter, posting an operating profit of 4.811 billion won after a loss of 35.426 billion won in the same period a year earlier. Sales rose 12.5% to 577.146 billion won, and the net loss narrowed to 11.815 billion won. The firm attributed the improvement to efficiency gains, a higher share of high‑value‑added products and market diversification.
