Korean culture expands in India through festivals and immersive events

Korean cultural influence in India is expanding through large-scale immersive events and festivals. In Mumbai, the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea has announced ‘Korea Week 2026’, a two-week showcase running from October 11 to 23. The event features Korean cinema, food, and K-dramas, including film screenings at the National Museum of Indian Cinema in partnership with the Korean Film Council.

In Delhi, the quick-commerce platform Zepto hosted ‘Seoul Street’, an invite-only immersive recreation of a Korean street. The event, supported by partners such as Nongshim India and Sprite, aimed to translate digital fascination with Korean pop culture into physical experiences. This follows rising consumer trends on q-commerce platforms, where searches for Korean ramen and noodles have seen significant growth.
