Brazil's Semana do Cinema offers discounted tickets from R$ 10

The ninth edition of 'Semana do Cinema' will take place across Brazil from September 10 to 16, 2026. Organized by the Federação Nacional das Empresas Exibidoras Cinematográficas (FENEEC) with support from ABRAPLEX, Ingresso.com, and Grupo Consciência, the campaign offers discounted tickets to encourage cultural access.

Standard tickets are priced at R$ 10 for sessions starting before 5:00 PM and R$ 12 for sessions starting from 5:00 PM onwards. These rates apply to regular screenings, including weekends, though pre-releases, live shows, and certain special formats are excluded. Some cinema chains, such as UCI, offer special pricing for premium formats like IMAX and XPLUS, while VIP and 4DX rooms may have different promotional rates.

Participating networks include Cinemark, Cinépolis, UCI, Cinesystem, and Cine Araújo. The event features a diverse lineup, including 'Homem-Aranha: Um Novo Dia', 'Toy Story 5', and 'A Odisseia'. Additionally, the DreamWorks animation 'A Ilha Esquecida' will have exclusive early screenings during the campaign period. Previous editions of the initiative have attracted over 26.7 million viewers to Brazilian cinemas.
