Korean food gains popularity at Jungfrau Marathon
Korean food products gained significant popularity at the Jungfrau Marathon in Interlaken, Switzerland. The Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) hosted a ‘Run with K-Food’ stand in the Marathon Village, attracting approximately 2,000 visitors, including runners and spectators.
Participants showed a preference for plant-based and refreshing options, such as sugar-free drinks, vegan ice cream, Konjac Jelly, and Yuza beverages. Other featured items included fermented specialties like Kimchi, Korean sauces, tofu snacks, and soy drinks. The event also featured an AI-generated ‘Alps-Korea’ photo zone where visitors could take photos in a K-Pop style.
Feedback from participants highlighted the refreshing nature of the products, specifically mentioning the Konjac Jelly and ginseng drinks as suitable for post-activity recovery.
