Korean Food Promotion Institute and National Agricultural Museum partner on cultural heritage

The Korean Food Promotion Institute and the National Agricultural Museum have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on highlighting the connection between Korean agricultural heritage and Hansik (traditional Korean food) culture.

The partnership aims to discover and promote the historical and cultural value of Korean agriculture and rural life by linking them to culinary traditions. Key initiatives include the joint development of special exhibitions, educational programs, and hands-on experience activities designed for both domestic and international audiences.

Both institutions plan to cooperate on building archives, sharing resources, and creating promotional content that illustrates how locally produced ingredients and production cultures have evolved into the unique culinary identity of Hansik. Lee Kyu-min, chairman of the Korean Food Promotion Institute, stated that the collaboration seeks to shed new light on the roots of Korean food through its connection to the land and rural history.
