Korean hanok design integrated into Moscow apartment

Designer Inga Kordya has completed a Moscow apartment project titled ‘Residence Open,’ which integrates traditional Korean hanok design principles into a modern residential setting. The design focuses on the philosophy of the hanok, emphasizing flowing rooms and spaces defined by natural light rather than solid walls.

Key features of the apartment include custom oak shutter doors inspired by traditional Korean latticed screens, which serve to diffuse light throughout the space. The material palette utilizes natural elements such as marble, granite, wood, brass, ceramics, and linen to create a sophisticated yet grounded environment.
