Korean horoscope traditions and weekly predictions

The Korean horoscope is a tradition inspired by ancient Chinese astrology that associates twelve animals with specific personality traits and aspects of daily life. Unlike Western zodiac systems based on the position of stars at birth, the Korean system uses the year of birth as its primary reference.

Because the system follows the lunar calendar, the zodiac sign does not necessarily change on January 1st. Individuals born in January or February must verify the specific date of the Lunar New Year for their birth year to determine their correct animal. The twelve animals include the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.

Tarot reader and therapist Elenizia Delgado provides weekly predictions for each animal. For example, those born under the sign of the Rat may encounter new possibilities by trusting their intuition and paying attention to emerging ideas.
