Korean Red Cross Daegu Branch provides emergency funds to family in crisis

The Korean Red Cross Daegu Branch has delivered emergency support funds to a family in crisis through an online fundraising campaign on Naver Happybean. The total amount raised was 1,069,300 KRW, consisting of donations from netizens alongside contributions from Shinhan Bank and Shinhan Financial Group.

The support is directed toward a 16-year-old boy and his father, who has struggled to maintain a livelihood as a taxi driver following a recent traffic accident. The funds are intended to cover living expenses and educational costs to ensure the student can continue his studies.

Bae In-ho, chairman of the Korean Red Cross Daegu Branch, stated that the organization will continue to strengthen support for families in crisis to help them achieve self-reliance and contribute to the local social safety net.
