Korean Sport & Olympic Committee appoints Kim Dae-nyeon as Secretary General

Kim Dae-nyeon has officially assumed his role as the new Secretary General of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (KSOC). His appointment, which follows consultation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and approval from the board, carries a two-year term lasting until August 2028.

Kim previously served as an election management chairperson and a member of the election system improvement committee. During his inauguration, KSOC President Yoo Seung-min expressed confidence that Kim’s deep understanding of the organization and its field operations would help build a more transparent and trusted institution.

In conjunction with leadership transitions, the KSOC held its 2026 Town Hall Meeting to strengthen communication between executives and employees. The event, attended by President Yoo and union leader Ji Won-seok, utilized both in-person and online formats to encourage open dialogue and foster a culture of mutual trust within the organization.
