KOREATECH researchers win awards at mechanical and aerospace conference

Professors and students from the Department of Employment Service Policy at the Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH) received multiple awards at the 2026 Korean Society of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineers Summer Conference held at Kyungwoon University.

A research team led by Professor Byeon Hae-won, alongside researchers Geum Chang-min, Choi Ki-seong, and Jang Shin-cheol, won an Excellence Award in the production design field. Their study focused on enhancing security mechanisms for logistics and transportation workers using Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) based authentication protocols.

Undergraduate students also achieved significant recognition through research utilizing big data from the 2024 Korea Employment Information Service Aging Employment Panel (KLoEE). Lee Na-yeon received an Excellence Award for her study on how total household debt affects the quality of life for middle-aged workers. Byeon Na-young also earned an Excellence Award for analyzing factors influencing job satisfaction among the middle-aged population, while Ryu Su-hee received an Encouragement Award for her research on the differences in job, health, and economic characteristics based on job retention intentions.
