Koridallos: Chase and collision lead to injuries and five detentions

A verbal dispute between motorists escalated into a high-speed chase and physical violence in Koridallos on Thursday night. The incident began at the intersection of Petrou Ralli and Kifissou Avenue, involving two motorcyclists and three occupants of a car.

The chase continued until the area of Eleftherias Square. During the pursuit, a motorcycle reportedly blocked the car's path at the intersection of Petrou Ralli and Kekropos streets, resulting in a collision that sent the motorcycle into a pole. The motorcyclist sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to Tzanio Hospital for medical treatment.

Shortly after the crash, a second motorcycle arrived at the scene, and its rider attacked the car driver, striking him in the head. Police responded to the scene and detained five individuals. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the initial dispute, and two of the detainees—the motorcycle driver and the car driver—are expected to face formal arrests on charges of causing bodily harm.
