Korinthos–Tripoli–Kalamata motorway to implement traffic changes

The Peloponnese Regional Police Directorate has announced new traffic regulations for the Korinthos–Tripoli–Kalamata motorway and the Leuktro–Sparti branch due to maintenance work on the Kalogeriko tunnel. The works target the lane heading towards Athens.

From 07:00 on Monday, September 21, 2026, until 16:00 on Friday, September 25, 2026, a contraflow system will be implemented. Traffic heading toward Athens will be diverted to the tunnel lane that normally serves the Kalamata direction (Kalogeriko K). This lane will accommodate traffic in both directions, with one lane allocated per direction, supported by appropriate signage and separation.

Drivers are advised to exercise caution, reduce speed, and strictly follow temporary information signs and instructions from authorities to ensure road safety and infrastructure maintenance.
