The Working Group for Air Quality Monitoring near the Holcim Hrvatska d. o. o. cement plant in Koromačno has issued a demand for transparency regarding waste management and emission levels. During its first session, the group requested that relevant authorities and the company provide additional documentation, analyses, and data within five working days.

Specific requests include data from the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund regarding waste analyses from big bags and the remediation plan for the PPK Gospić site. The group is also seeking inspection records from the State Inspectorate of the Republic of Croatia for the years 2025 and 2026, particularly those following the commissioning of the precalciner.

Furthermore, the group has asked Holcim to provide internal chemical-technological waste analyses and to enable the direct transfer of real-time emission measurement data to the server of the Istria County Institute of Public Health. The discussions also cover the planned use of waste from PPK Gospić as alternative fuel in the cement production process.
