Korona Kielce appoints Robert Kolendowicz as new head coach

Korona Kielce has undergone a change in leadership following the departure of head coach Jacek Zieliński. Zieliński, who took charge of the club on August 7, 2024, was removed from his position after a 1:6 defeat against Lech Poznań in the 11th round of the PKO BP Ekstraklasa.

In a farewell message, Zieliński expressed gratitude to the fans, players, coaching staff, and club management for their support during his tenure. During his time with the club, the team played 76 Ekstraklasa matches, recording 26 wins, 24 draws, and 26 losses.

Robert Kolendowicz has been appointed as the new head coach, signing a contract that runs until June 2027 with an option for a two-year extension. Kolendowicz, 46, previously played for Korona Kielce between 2005 and 2006. He most recently coached Pogoń Szczecin and stated his intention to improve the team's defensive play and meet the club's high ambitions.
