Korčula launches 1.3 million euro tender for tower reconstruction
The City of Korčula has opened a tender worth 1.3 million euros for the reconstruction of the Kula svih Svetih (Tower of All Saints). Built in the late 15th century, this historical fortification served as one of twelve defensive towers protecting the island city.
The project aims to conserve the historical remains while repurposing the site for modern use. The reconstruction will include partially roofing the circular tower to restore pedestrian traffic between the Ramp and the Petra Konavelića Promenade. Additionally, the lower part of the tower is planned to become a small city square connected by a stone staircase and passage toward the eastern shore. The design features a new construction above the large tower made of corten steel.
Interested companies have until September 17 to submit documentation for the project.
