Ákos Hadházy to file report over state celebration procurement

Former Member of Parliament Ákos Hadházy has announced his intention to file a report regarding the organization of the August 20 state celebrations. This decision follows the release of a report by the Ministry of Interior's investigative committee, which Hadházy described as a “great disappointment.”

Hadházy claims the 30-page document fails to address critical questions, such as whether there was price inflation, who decided on the selection of contractors, and why the winning company, Hardrock Kft., appeared to have advance knowledge of the details. He also noted that the investigation did not clarify the role of Márk Radnai, despite his presence in relevant correspondence. Hadházy suggested that the report serves primarily to obscure the issue and noted the possibility of double payments for pyrotechnics and rockets.
