KOSGEB increases entrepreneur support limits to 2.5 million TL
KOSGEB has updated its support mechanisms for entrepreneurs and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Turkey. Under the renewed Entrepreneur Support Program, the maximum support limit has increased to 2.5 million TL. This includes specific provisions for young, female, disabled, or veteran entrepreneurs, who can receive an additional 250,000 TL.
The program consists of three main mechanisms: Business Establishment Support, which is non-refundable; Business Development Support, which is repayable with no interest or commission and begins 12 months after a 24-month program; and Business Development Interest/Profit Share Support. Business Development Support covers expenses such as personnel, machinery, software, marketing, and consultancy, with a support rate of 80%.
Separately, a 23-year-old regulation regarding KOSGEB supporters has been repealed. The removal of the Supporters Regulation, which had been in place since 2003, does not affect the grants or financing provided to SMEs. Instead, the regulation governed the terms under which external individuals or organizations could provide in-kind or monetary contributions to KOSGEB’s own research, activities, or facility maintenance.
