Koshidaka Group launches Manekineko Music Entertainment label

Koshidaka Group, the operator of the nationwide karaoke chain Manekineko, has launched a new in-house music label called ‘Manekineko Music Entertainment’. The label aims to manage the entire process of artist discovery, training, music production, digital distribution, and promotion.

The initiative leverages the company’s vocal audition project, ‘Mane-Challe’, which saw approximately 1,200 applicants. The label’s first artist, MiiNA, a winner of the inaugural audition, made her debut with a song provided by the creator unit HoneyWorks. The second artist, Kokone, a high school singer, has also released her debut track.

By utilizing its 703 karaoke locations across Japan, the company intends to transform its venues from mere singing spaces into media hubs where talent can be discovered, fans can connect, and new music can be promoted.
