KOSKİ implements water infrastructure renewal to prevent losses

KOSKİ is conducting a comprehensive infrastructure renewal campaign to prevent water loss and address risks posed by climate change and increasing population density. As part of its 2026 investment program, specialized teams are scanning the city's water network to identify and eliminate inefficiencies.

A major focus of this operation is the replacement of aging infrastructure components that hinder pressure control and cause leaks. To date, teams have replaced 326 critical network valves with new, high-pressure resistant models compatible with smart control systems. These upgrades aim to minimize malfunction risks, reduce the scope of regional water outages during repairs, and bring water loss-and-leakage rates closer to international standards.
