Kosmos Cinema renovation progresses in Plovdiv

Renovation work on the Kosmos Cinema in Plovdiv is progressing, with the dismantling of scaffolding now underway, according to Mayor Kostadin Dimitrov. Much of the ceiling work is complete, including the installation of lighting and specialized acoustic panels.

Once rehabilitated, the cinema will feature a modern multifunctional hall with 599 seats, capable of hosting film screenings, theatrical productions, concerts, and other cultural events. The facility will be equipped with advanced technology, including laser projectors, 3D projection systems, and professional audio-video equipment for streaming and recording.

Additional features of the project include a 52-seat lecture hall, four dressing rooms, and improved accessibility measures such as an external wheelchair platform. The venue will also include a foyer and a confectionery area with seating for visitors.
