Kosovo Alliance urges probe of Vetëvendosje’s alleged fake‑profile disinformation campaign

The political formation known as Aleanca has accused the Vetëvendosje movement of creating a network of fake social‑media profiles and coordinating disinformation campaigns. In a media statement the alliance said the purpose of the propaganda is not only electoral but also to delegitimize the achievements of the Kosovar state, erode public trust in institutions and weaken Kosovo’s strategic allies.

Aleanca called on the Kosovo Prosecutor’s Office and the Kosovo Police to investigate and bring criminal charges against anyone who organises or participates in such fake‑profile networks and coordinated disinformation operations. The statement stressed that “democracy is not protected by armies of fake profiles, but by the rule of law and accountability.”
